We at Web-Est have been spending time posting
articles on ways to build websites for an auto body shop.
Visit our recent articles on
general rules for building a website to learn more (
click here to visit part 2 of that article). When you
build your website, though, keeping your customers in mind is the
most important, but you'll want to keep search engine marketing in
mind. There are many ways to use search engines to your advantage
in marketing your auto body shop to a potential client and customer
base. It is important that you learn to do this so that you can
drive the most amount of web traffic to your site and get the
broadest base of customers that you possibly can. Sleeping on the
job here can just kill your momentum and start you doing in a
downward spiral. At the same time, success in this area can make
you just as quickly and help your business take off incredibly
quickly and successfully.
So how can you use search engines to your advantage? One way is to
use keywords on your web site that people often search on.
Obviously want to include the words "auto body shop" but try other
variations too, including auto parts, auto body auto parts, auto
body shop that sells parts, and so on. You should also include
variations on your geographic location as well. Name the city or
town that you live in with the other key words people might search
on. If you omit words like "in," you will increase your matches.
The rule of thumb is to simply keep your target customers in mind,
and the search engines will notice and consider you relevant for
those targeted customers.
You can also advertise your site on social networking sites that
show up in search engines. Again, keyword optimization is the
important thing to remember. You want lots of exact hits that will
drive traffic to your site. Another way to enhance your search
engine visibility is to add links in the middle of the articles
that show up on your web site. These links can go to other pages
and they help to drive other viewers to your site. The internet is
a giant web of inter-connectivity, and the more you can be part of
that, the more visibility and clout you can gain with your
customers.
Finally, be sure to list your products all over your web site as
well. Don't just assume that everyone knows what you provide.
Do you provide collision repair services? List it in
your product line. Do you offer paint services?
List it in your product line. PDR? List
it. Towing services? Yes, definitely list that.
So on and so on. Whatever it is you provide to your
customers, let it be known. It makes your skills appear as
they ought to be to your customer: advanced and professional.
The internet can be your best friend in
helping you monitor how many people are going to your site.
It has to be done right though.
